On Wednesday, Police in Massachusetts arrested a guy from Indianapolis for a double murder in Plainfield 2022.

The Pittsfield Police Department caught Dalonny Rodgers, 29, of Indianapolis in connection with an investigation into two murders that happened in Plainfield on September 10, 2022. The arrest was made after several law enforcement organizations and the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office worked together on the case.

Rodgers is charged with two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder in connection with the shootings at the White House Suites Motel that killed two Texas men, Jose Rolando Castaneda Varela, 34, and Alfredo Garcia, 52.

On Wednesday, Pittsfield police were looking into a stolen car when they came across Rodgers, who was wanted in Indiana. Rodgers was caught on some local charges, such as forgery, fighting arrest, assault and battery of a police officer, giving a fake ID, and having marijuana on his person.

Rogers was taken to a holding center in Pittsfield, where he is being held before being sent back to Indiana.

Chief Kyle Prewitt of the Plainfield Police Department said, “We are glad to have this suspect in custody and to be moving on to the next phase of the case. We believe this will lead to a sentence that brings justice to the victims, their families, and our community.” “People who hurt others will be held to the fullest extent of the law.”
