A police officer from Bartow was taken into custody in Polk County after he allegedly provided an inappropriate video to his coworkers that showed four teenage females engaging in drug use. The video was sent to the officers by the officer.
It was announced on Tuesday that Mark Anthony Fernandez, who is 24 years old, was charged with four crimes and six misdemeanors in connection with the events that occurred over the weekend of February 3. According to the deputies, Fernandez reordered multiple recordings that showed two girls who were 18 years old, a 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old being present inside his residence. The jacket that was worn by one of the teenagers was from the Bartow Police Department.

The teenagers are also seen in a number of other films naked inside Fernandez’s house, where they are also seen with alcoholic beverages, THC vape pens, and THC candy.
Further allegations against Fernandez include choking one of the adolescents and molesting her, according to the deputies. Since February, when the investigation into the event was first initiated, Fernandez has been placed on administrative leave, and his employment with the Bartow Police Department is on the verge of being terminated.

“Mark Anthony Fernandez has embarrassed his community, police department, and law enforcement officers everywhere. In contrast, his fellow officers at Bartow Police Department did the right thing by reporting his conduct. Mark Anthony Fernandez must never wear a badge again,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
There are a number of allegations that have been brought against him, some of which include the encouragement of a juvenile in a sexual performance, the use of a juvenile in a sexual performance, battery by strangling, and the illegal use of a two-way communication device.
