The driver of a Cadillac Escalade lost control and hit a parked car before hitting Carlos Pech, 15, who was going across the street. Pech died when the crash threw her into a parked car and killed her. Emergency workers said he was dead at the scene, leaving his family to deal with a sudden and terrible loss.

The driver of the Cadillac is Samuel Delgado, 22, from North Hills. He is now being charged with murder. It is said that Delgado lost control of the car, which set off a chain of events that killed young Pech too soon. Delgado was quickly caught by police, and he is now being held at the Van Nuys Jail while he waits for more court dates.
