Pakistan strongly condemned an Iranian air strike that occurred within its borders, resulting in the deaths of two children.

Pakistan labeled it an “unprovoked violation of its airspace” and issued a warning of potential retaliation.

Iran claimed to have used precision missile and drone strikes against strongholds of the Sunni militant group Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

This incident follows Iran’s recent missile launches in Iraq and Syria, contributing to the escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the attack, emphasizing the innocent casualties and characterizing it as a breach of its airspace by Iran within Pakistani territory.

On Wednesday, Pakistan decided to recall its ambassador from Iran and suspended all high-level visits to Iran following what it termed an “unprovoked and blatant breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty” by Iran.

Mumtaz Baloch, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, declared this act as a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Baloch asserted that the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, currently on a visit to Iran, should not return, and Pakistan reserves the right to respond to this “illegal act.”

China, in response, urged both Iran and Pakistan to exercise restraint, encouraging them to avoid actions leading to an escalation of tension and work together for regional peace and stability.

The militant group Jaish al-Adl reported on Tuesday that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards employed six attack drones and several rockets to destroy two residences housing the children and wives of its fighters.

In Balochistan province, authorities informed CNN that two girls, aged eight and 12, lost their lives, and at least four individuals sustained injuries.

The attack damaged houses in the village of Koh-e-Sabz in Kulag, approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) from Panjgur district, on Tuesday evening, as reported by the district’s deputy commissioner, Mumtaz Khetran. Khetran also noted that the strikes targeted and hit a mosque near the homes.
