Ocala, FL– In two different shooting incidents in Ocala, one person has died and another has been injured.
On Friday, around 7 p.m., police officers went to the 2000 block of SW 4th St. in response to a shooting incident, where they discovered a man had been wounded, but his injury was not life-threatening.
Another gunshot happened just a few streets away in the 1900 block of SW 1st St. at 8:20 p.m., while authorities were working that incident.
Officers arrived at the second shooting scene to find a deceased male in a deserted lot with bullet wounds.
It’s unclear whether these two shootings are connected. The deceased’s identity has not been revealed. Both shootings are being investigated.
