Akary Cruz, 14, went missing from her Indianapolis home on December 19, according to authorities. She allegedly left a message stating that she and her 20-year-old lover, Esvin Cruz Cante, were in love and were planning a trip to Cante’s native country of Guatemala.

According to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department investigation, the pair left sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, with Akary leaving a message indicating that she and Esvin are in love and have traveled to Guatemala to be together.
