Today is Good Friday. Tomorrow, an area of high pressure will form over Alabama. This means that it will stay sunny, and the high temperature will be in the lower 70s.

How the Easter Weekend Will Go: The weather will be great this weekend! Since the area of high pressure will move over Florida, the winds will blow from the south, making it warmer here. It will be lovely and sunny on Holy Saturday. The high will get up to around 80°, which is in the upper 70s. The sunrise services on Easter Sunday will take place in mostly clear, cool weather in the low to mid-50s. For the rest of Easter, it will be partly cloudy and warmer, with highs in the low 80s. For all the Easter services and egg hunts, this will be great. April 1, 2018, was the last time Easter Sunday was in the 80s.

The week ahead: Monday will be mostly clear and warm, with highs in the 80s. It will rain and storm a bit across Alabama on Tuesday as a cold front moves through. Storms with high winds, hail, and heavy rain are possible during some of the events. Before the storms, it will be warm and muggy, with highs in the upper 70s.
