A 36-year-old Garden Grove man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Westminster early Saturday morning.
The incident happened on Bishop Street, west of Brookhurst Street, according to WPD Commander Kevin MacCormick. Officers were summoned to the scene at 4:43 a.m. in response to a complaint of a collision.
When police arrived, they saw a guy lying in the roadway with injuries “consistent with being struck by a vehicle.” Orange County Fire Authority officials responded and pronounced the guy deceased at the site. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his relatives.

Officers were told by a “possible” witness that the individual was struck by a car, described as a tiny black sedan, that fled the scene westbound on Bishop Street at Belgrade Street.
