Mike Gill, a former Trump administration official, tragically passed away on Sunday as a result of injuries sustained during a carjacking spree in Washington, DC last Monday. He was 56 years old.
“We want to express our sincere gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and assistance,” stated Kristina Gill, wife of Mike Gill, as shared with Fox 5.
Mike Gill has a strong background in government and finance, having held positions such as chief of staff of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission and senior vice president for Capital Markets at the Housing Policy Council. He had three children and was born and raised in St. Louis.

Former Trump Official Dies During Carjacking Incident
According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department, an individual approached a parked vehicle on K Street, entered it, shot the male driver, and subsequently left the vehicle. Later, Gill’s family was able to identify the victim as Mike. Following a second fatal shooting, police shot and killed a man by the name of Artell Cunningham.
According to the MPD, the number of carjackings in DC has risen for the sixth year in a row, with a total of 959 reported incidents in 2023. Tragically, Mike Gill, a prominent member of the Trump Administration, was the victim of a violent carjacking in Washington, DC. He was shot in the head, an act of senseless brutality.
