A cosmetic surgeon in Florida was charged with the death of his wife after she went into cardiac arrest while she was on his operating table. According to the information provided by the police, the surgeon allegedly waited twenty minutes before calling 911.

According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s office, Benjamin Brown, who is 41 years old, was taken into custody for the murder of Hillary Brown, who was 33 years old.

On November 21, 2023, authorities stated in a press release that they were dispatched to the Restore Plastic Surgery clinic located in Gulf Breeze, Florida, in response to a medical emergency that had occurred there.

According to the authorities, when they arrived at the clinic treating cosmetic procedures, they discovered Hillary Brown in the process of experiencing a cardiac arrest. She was placed on life support, and she passed away on November 28th, just one week after that.

Hillary was remembered in her obituary for her “kind and cheerful nature” as well as for the fact that she had donated her organs to five transplant recipients.

“She was a loving and supportive mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend,” according to the funeral announcement. “Her radiant attitude and infectious smile will be truly missed.” On Friday, following what was described as a “extensive investigation,” the authorities “requested a warrant for the arrest of Benjamin Brown.”

The man, who was 41 years old at the time, turned himself in on Monday, and the sheriff’s office reported that he was arrested on charges of manslaughter by culpable negligence and felony homicide in the second degree.
