It is being pushed by Republicans in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania to take President Joe Biden off the votes in those states instead.
Representative Aaron Bernstine (Pennsylvania), Rep. Charlie Byrd (Georgia), and Rep. Cory McGarr (Arizona) are the three Republicans leading this effort. They have now written a bill that will keep President Biden off the ballots in their home states.
The Colorado Supreme Court recently decided that former President Donald Trump should not be on the ballot for the Colorado Republican primary. This initiative comes after that ruling. Republicans across the country were very against the move, and members of other parties also didn’t like it.

In a recent interview with Politico, Governor Gavin Newsom told his party this in answer to possible similar actions by Democrats in California:
“There is no doubt that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and even to our democracy, but in California, we defeat candidates at the polls. Everything else is a political distraction.”
The three Republicans told Breitbart News that they were working together to bring bills that would keep Joe Biden off of the ballots in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. They were unhappy with the example set by taking Donald Trump off the Colorado ballot and said that, according to the Democrats’ view of the law, Joe Biden would also not be able to run for office.
Taking President Biden off of primary votes in these important states could make it very hard for him to get elected since these states are so important to the election process. The lawmakers said that the Democrats’ reasons for getting rid of Trump could also be used to get rid of Biden. They pointed to worries about the “insurrection” at the southern border and alleged shady business deals with China.
