Reportedly involved in both child rape and sex trafficking, a Missouri guy is currently listed as one of the FBI’s top seven wanted fugitives for 2024. On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Donald Eugene Fields II, 59, was added to the list following his indictment by a federal grand jury on counts of producing child pornography, sex trafficking, and attempted sex trafficking of minors.
The Charges
Fields is wanted by the FBI on charges of trafficking in sexual favors at least one kid in Missouri between roughly 2013 and 2017. He is accused of intentionally trying to enlist, lure, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, maintain, patronize, and solicit someone he thought was younger than eighteen and would be coerced into performing a commercial sex act.
Additionally, according to the FBI, Fields recorded himself sexually abusing the youngster on a cell phone and used that footage to create child pornography. When the 14-year-old girl came forward to the authorities in 2017 to report the abuse, she named Fields as the abuser.
The Manhunt
Since 2017, the Manhunt Fields has been evading capture after missing a court appearance in Franklin County, Missouri. He has a violent and drug-abusing past and is regarded as dangerous and armed. He may be driving a black 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with the Missouri license plate 1WE 454. He has ties to Kentucky, Florida, and Missouri.
A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered by the FBI for information that results in Fields’ apprehension. We strongly advise anyone with information to get in touch with the closest FBI office, American Embassy, or Consulate.
The Implications:
Given the gravity of his alleged offenses and the immediacy of his apprehension, Fields has been added to the FBI’s list of the seven most wanted fugitives. The FBI’s ten most wanted fugitives list was created in 1950, and the FBI’s seven most wanted fugitives list was created in 2023 as a subset of that list. The most violent and dangerous fugitives who seriously endanger public safety are featured on the list of the seven most wanted fugitives.
The FBI hopes that adding Fields to the list, it would raise public awareness and provide more leads for finding and arresting him. Fields is the second person to be added to the list in 2023 and the first Missourian to do so. Ruja Ignatova, a citizen of Bulgaria who is wanted for her involvement in a significant Bitcoin fraud scheme, was the other person added in 2023.
