A guy from Lugoff has entered a guilty plea to two counts of attempted transfer of obscene material to a juvenile, which could result in him serving more than twenty years in prison.
The federal jail sentence for Chad Michael Rabon, who is 34 years old, is 25 years. As a result of the fact that he is already a registered sexual offender, he was charged with two additional counts of committing a felony sexual offense that involved a minor and in which he was the perpetrator. As for the other case, he entered a guilty plea.

A United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina named Adair F. Boroughs stated that Rabon, who was a registered sexual offender, intentionally preyed on a person whom he believed to be a youngster. The severity of Rabon’s conduct is reflected in this term, and we will continue to seek accountability from those who commit crimes of this sort.
Between the dates of May 23, 2022, and June 30, 2022, Rabon engaged in sexually explicit communications with an undercover agent whom he initially thought was a girl of thirteen years of age. To convince the person who was considered to be a juvenile to engage in sexual activities, he used KIK Messenger. In addition to this, he attempted to lure the undercover agent to participate in sexual behavior by sending pornographic photographs and videos to the agent.

The state had previously found Rabon guilty of criminal solicitation of a juvenile and criminal sexual behavior with a minor, victim 11 to 14 years of age, in the second degree. Rabon was convicted of both of these crimes ABCNEWS4 reported.
Together with his sentence of twenty-five years. The court has ordered that Rabon is under monitoring for the rest of his life. The federal system does not operate with parole. Additionally, upon Rabon’s release from prison, he will be required to register as a sexual offender.
