The Scottsdale writer became famous for her Twilight book series, which is about vampires and love. Stephenie Meyer has lived in the Valley for a long time. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut. Meyer moved into her 3,316-square-foot Cave Creek home with her husband in 2007; they have three kids. Meyer grew up in Scottsdale and graduated from Chaparral High School.
3. Doug Stanhope
Doug Stanhope is a bitter stand-up comedian who lives with his girlfriend Amy “Bingo” Bingaman in the rainbow-colored house they call the “Fun House” in Bisbee, Arizona when they’re not traveling to clubs across the country. Most of the time, the comedian records his great weekly podcast there, and he also holds an annual Super Bowl party there. Fans of the comic probably already knew this.
4. Arie Luyendyk Jr.
Fans of Bachelor Nation will always remember the most important event of Season 22: former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. broke up with season winner Becca Kuffrin on TV. He became the most feared bachelor in the series when he chose Lauren Burnham, who came in second place. After getting married, they moved into a rebuilt 2,607-square-foot ranch house in Phoenix in 2018. This is where they raise their daughter Alessi when they’re not making waves on social media.
5. Bret Michaels
The Poison singer “fell in love with the Southwest” as a youngster, according to an interview we did in 2012. He later bought a house near Pinnacle Peak and Pima roads in north Scottsdale. Most likely, that move has kept him living. She says that the doctors at St. Joseph Hospital’s Barrow Neurological Institute “pretty much saved my life” after she had a brain hemorrhage and heart problems in 2010.
6. Bryan Daniel
Daniel Bryan is a WWE star, and he lives in north Scottsdale with his wife, the famous wrestler Brie Bella. The couple, who already have a 3-year-old daughter, said earlier this year that they are going to have a second kid. Phoenix magazine and episodes of the WWE reality show Total Divas say that the couple has been seen at CrossFit Full Strength, North, and Chelsea’s Kitchen in the area.
7. Danica Patrick
This famous race car driver and star of Go Daddy’s cheesy Super Bowl ads has a pretty big home in north Scottsdale. It’s 7,531 square feet and is close to Taliesin West. A blog on ESPN says that the $1.9 million mansion has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a wine cellar, a gym, and even a seven-car garage (though we think Patrick doesn’t keep any of the stock cars she races there).
