1. Huntington
Huntington is in the southeast area of Fairfax County, close to the line with Alexandria City. It has about 11,000 people living in apartments and townhouses. The bad news is that Huntington has the highest crime rate in the county, with 55.76 crimes per 1,000 people living there.
It is very common for property crimes like burglary, theft, and car theft to happen in this area. There were 612 property crimes reported in Huntington in 2020, which is 14% of all property crimes in Fairfax County.
Huntington also has a lot of problems with dangerous crimes like rape, robbery, and violence. The city of Huntington had 38 violent crimes that year, which was 9% of all violent crimes in the county.
2. Centerville
Centreville is a neighborhood area in the western part of Fairfax County, close to the border with Loudoun County. It is home to about 73,000 people who live in single-family homes and flats. With 28.66 crimes per 1,000 people, it has the fifth-highest crime rate in the county.

3. Baileys Crossroads
Baileys Crossroads is in the middle of Fairfax County, close to the border with Arlington County. 4. Hybla Valley
Hybla Valley is a suburban area with single-family houses and flats that is in the southeast of Fairfax County, close to the border with Alexandria City. It is home to about 16,000 people. With 36.67 crimes per 1,000 people, Hybla Valley has the third-highest crime rate in the county.
Property crimes, like burglaries, theft, and car theft, are the main problems in the area. In 2020, 585 property crimes were recorded in Hybla Valley. That’s 13% of all property crimes in Fairfax County. Also, dangerous crimes like robbery, assault, and rape happen at a low rate in Hybla Valley.
5. Groveton
Groveton is a suburban area in the southeast of Fairfax County, close to the border with Alexandria City. It has about 15,000 people living in mostly single-family homes and apartments. With 34.64 crimes per 1,000 people, Groveton has the fourth-highest crime rate in the county.
Burglary, theft, and auto theft are some of the property crimes that are a big problem here. There were 519 property crimes in Groveton in 2020, which was 12% of all property crimes in Fairfax County. Groveton also has a modest number of violent crimes, like rape, attack, and theft.
