La Segunda is one of the oldest bakeries in the country. It was started by a Spanish soldier who wanted to share the tasty Cuban bread he had found while stationed there in the early 1900s.

The bakery has been in the same family for four generations and is now an important part of the Tampa neighborhood.

From fresh soups and burgers to over 20 kinds of cookies, donuts, pies, turnovers, and freshly baked bread, the bakery has almost every baked good you can think of.

The story says that you should try the Media Noche bread, the tres leches cake, and the famous Cuban sandwich.
