Alexander City Woman’s BODY FOUND, Boyfriend ARRESTED on Alleged Murder Charges

DADEVILLE, Ala.- The search for Quanisha Davis, who was 30 years old and from Alexander City, Alabama, came to an unfortunate end on Thursday morning when her remains were found in a wooded area off Herren Street in Dadeville, Alabama. A missing person report was filed for Davis on May 24, and the last time he was seen was on May 17.

The investigation is being carried out in collaboration with the State Bureau of Investigation, the Dadeville Police Department, the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department, and the Alexander City Police Department. In the early hours of today morning, at approximately 7:45 AM, the remains of Davis were discovered, which prompted the authorities to change the inquiry into the missing person case to one concerned with homicide.

A first expression of condolence was extended by the law enforcement agencies to Davis’ family and friends during a press conference that took place on Thursday afternoon. Robert Lee Young, 55, of 243 Aster Street, Dadeville, was taken into custody and charged with murder, according to Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett. At this time, Young is still being held in the Tallapoosa County Jail for a bond hearing that is set to take place later this week. Davis and Young were involved in a romantic connection. A statement from the investigators states that they are unable to comment on the evidence that led to Young’s detention at this time.

An autopsy will be performed on the body of the victim for the purpose of determining the precise cause of death. The body has been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science. The white 2006 Ford Explorer belonging to Davis was discovered on May 29 at approximately 6:40 p.m. in a different forested area located off North Loop Road in Dadeville.
