Police in Alachua County say a 24-year-old guy attacked a 17-year-old girl and is now being charged with sexual assault.
The police report says John Sowers was with the girl on December 3 to help her feel better after a breakup.
The woman said that she was high on marijuana when he started to sexually abuse her. The victim says she could hardly stay awake. He supposedly said something about adding MDMA to the pot, which she took as a joke.
This person told his friend she had been raped after Sowers left the room.
According to Sowers, the girl told him she was 18, but the victim told him in text messages that she was simply 17.
