A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody by the Newport News police department in connection with the shooting death of a 15-year-old youngster in the year 2022.
On Tuesday, the juvenile was taken into custody by the police and charged with murder in the second degree as well as several felonies involving weapons.
On the 14th of October, 2022, the shooting took place in the 800 block of Walden Pond Court. When authorities arrived, they discovered a child of 15 years old who had been shot twice. The teen was taken to the hospital by medical personnel, but he passed away the following day. The names of the victim and suspect are not being made public by the Newport News police department because both of them are juveniles.
