A Texas man with two previous DWI convictions fatally struck a victim and was discovered with an arm in his vehicle when police stopped him, according to authorities.

Juan Morgan Munoz, 31, was driving drunk when he struck and killed a pedestrian early Saturday morning in Dallas, according to Fox Dallas. He was on probation from a previous DWI at the time. He is accused of felony DWI and a fatal crash.

According to an arrest affidavit acquired by the TV station, Munoz called 911 a half-hour after the deadly event involving his BMW and stated that he was still driving to his workplace at a Maaco Auto Body Shop.

When authorities stopped him in the auto shop parking lot, they found a “hole in the front passenger windshield” and “an entire arm on the front passenger seat” as well as blood. Additionally, Munoz had “glassy/watery eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.” He told investigators that he had left a Hooters restaurant and was on his way to work. His manager informed authorities that he was not scheduled to work that night.

Furthermore, Munoz failed a field sobriety test and blew a.179 on a breathalyzer test, which is more than twice the legal limit. He also gave a blood sample. He allegedly informed jail personnel that he had cocaine in his system. The victim hasn’t been named FoxNews stated.

Munoz pleaded guilty to a DWI conviction in New Hampshire in 2018 and was fined, according to the TV station. Last year, he was arrested in Fort Worth for driving while impaired. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years probation.
