Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania — A York man was arrested in Huntingdon on Wednesday after allegedly driving under the influence in a stolen car.
Tyler Robarge, 32, has been charged with receiving stolen property and allegedly admitting to police that he had used drugs earlier that day.
Around 9:51 p.m. on August 28, state police in Huntingdon County were on 9th Street near its intersection with Moore Street in Huntingdon Borough. According to the charges, they noticed a blue Hyundai Accent driving east and discovered it had been stolen using computerized license plate recognition.
Police pulled over the automobile. Robarge obeyed when requested to exit the vehicle and was apprehended by authorities. According to the criminal complaint, Robarge allegedly revealed to state police that he had taken Suboxone earlier that day.
Troopers stated in the allegation that his “pupils were constricted and non-reactive to light”. According to the affidavit, he took a routine field sobriety test and showed multiple symptoms of impairment.
Robarge was escorted to Penn Highlands for a blood sample but refused to take the test at about 10:27 p.m.
Troopers discovered two buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual films in his wallet during a search of their barracks, according to accusations.
Robarge is in the Huntingdon County Jail, with a $100,000 bail. He faces a felony charge of receiving stolen property, as well as misdemeanors for driving under the influence and having an unregulated controlled substance. He is also facing summary driving charges.
