A woman died after jumping out of a car that police were chasing, and the man behind the wheel is now facing murder charges.
Deputies from Arizona’s Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic disturbance on Saturday. The victim told authorities that her boyfriend had used illicit drugs before taking her up neighboring Mt. Lemmon.
He wouldn’t allow her out of the car.

Police arrived at the car, but the driver, later identified as William Holloway, did not stop. Holloway led them on a chase around the mountain at speeds of up to 45 mph, according to the report.
The anonymous victim jumped out of the automobile and was seriously hurt.

Deputies attempted to administer life-saving treatment, but she died in the hospital.
Holloway, 36, drove away, but deputies located him nearby with a flat tire. He was caught and accused of some offenses, including first-degree murder, kidnapping, and trafficking stolen property.
He is being kept in jail under a $750,000 bond.
