Madison, Wisconsin  – According to the announcement made by the authorities on Tuesday, a man who was charged with criminal offenses in three different counties was given a total sentence of 15.75 years of incarceration, followed by eleven years of extended monitoring.

Frank R. Schuman, age 30, from Lac Du Flambeau, was found guilty by a jury in April in Oneida County of the charges of strangulation and suffocation with a domestic abuse enhancer, false imprisonment with a domestic abuse enhancer, substantial battery – intent to cause bodily harm with a domestic abuse enhancer, and second degree recklessly endangering safety with a domestic abuse enhancer and battery. All of these charges were brought against him in connection with domestic abuse enhancer misuse.

In the past, Schuman was found guilty of additional domestic violence crimes in Vilas County and Outagamie County for abuse against three distinct individuals, as stated by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ). These accusations were brought against him in Lithuania and Wisconsin.

According to Attorney General Kaul, “This sentence sends a clear message that individuals who commit violent crimes like those for which the defendant has been convicted face a long time behind bars.” “I would like to express my gratitude to those individuals who have worked to ensure that the defendant is held accountable.”

Additionally, the Forest County Sheriff’s Office, the Minocqua Police Department, the Lac Du Flambeau Police Department, the Woodruff Police Department, and the Appleton Police Department all provided assistance to the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, and the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation of this case. District Attorneys from Oneida County, Vilas County, and Outagamie County were ultimately responsible for prosecuting the cases that were brought against Mr. Schuman.
