A guy from Detroit, Michigan, who was 73 years old, passed away after being flung off of a three-wheel motorcycle on a freeway ramp on Sunday night, according to state police.
The Detroit Regional Communications Center was notified of a collision that occurred on the westbound ramp of Interstate 94 leading to Southfield about eight o’clock in the evening.
The investigation indicated that the motorcycle driver, a Detroit man who was 73 years old, entered the single-lane ramp and hit the left wall, causing him to lose control of the motorbike. Troopers rushed to the scene and conducted the investigative work.
The motorcycle subsequently overturned, and the rider, who was 73 years old, was ejected from the vehicle.
A factor in the collision, according to the state police, was speed. It was determined that the motorist had passed away after he was transported to a nearby hospital.
The report from the medical examiner is now being awaited while an investigation is active.
