West Philadelphia Tragedy: Three Killed, Six Injured in Early Morning Shooting

PHILADELPHIA- Early Sunday morning in the Carroll Park district of West Philadelphia, three persons were killed and six others were wounded in a shooting at a sizable gathering.

Soon after two in the morning, police answered a complaint regarding gunfire on the 1200 block of North Alden Street.

Police said two more males died at local hospitals and a 33-year-old guy was declared dead on scene.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker penned on X, previously Twitter late on Sunday night that police are looking into the incident and would have more to say on Monday. “Every shooting and homicide in Philadelphia is painful to me; my administration will not rest until every resident, in every neighborhood, feels safe in their community,” Parker stated.

Police claimed there seemed to be several shooters.

Police reported that bullets also struck several vehicles.

One gun was seized from the site; homicide investigators are looking at it; police stated they lack much information regarding the shooters.
