Police arrested a suspect who they allege was responsible for two “unprovoked” stabbings that occurred in distinct Massachusetts communities on Saturday.
According to Chief Timothy Cohoon of the Braintree Police Department, the initial incident was reported at an AMC theater in Braintree at approximately 6 p.m. for Fox News Digital. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, is said to have approached four young females inside the movie theater without purchasing a ticket.
The press release from the police department stated that the four young females were abruptly attacked and stabbed without any warning or statement. “The attack appeared to be unprovoked.”

The injuries sustained by the victims, who were between the ages of 9 and 17, were not life-threatening. They were transported to institutions in the Boston area for treatment. The suspect escaped the movie theater in a black vehicle, according to the police. A stabbing which involved a black vehicle was reported in Plymouth shortly after the initial incident.
The vehicle was identified by the authorities through the use of surveillance footage. “Using various investigative techniques, the officers were able to see that the suspect was no longer in the area,” according to the press release. Additionally, authorities were able to obtain a license plate through video footage.

“The Massachusetts State Police pursued that vehicle, which ultimately crashed in Sandwich.” The driver has been apprehended. It seems that the offenses are connected.
