A 23-year-old woman was detained after police said she repeatedly stabbed a guy during a family party in Bluffdale.
Izabel Happold was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Friday morning for aggravated assault resulting in significant bodily injury, obstruction of justice, drunkenness, and domestic violence in the presence of a child.
Bluffdale police investigator Carl Hamer said the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the Rockpoint Apartments on 15300 S. Porter Rockwell Blvd.
According to Hamer, a family had gathered at an apartment for a birthday and Independence Day celebration when two males engaged in a “pretty significant fistfight” exacerbated by alcohol.

According to Hamer, Happold, one of the men’s wives, repeatedly stabbed the other man. According to the complaint, the victim had six stab wounds in the back and one in the neck.
According to investigators, seven youngsters were inside the flat when the stabbing occurred.
According to the affidavit, Happold first told authorities she stabbed the man to defend her spouse. She “also admitted to stabbing the victim before he had begun hitting her husband.”
According to Hamer, both guys received hospital treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said Happold hid the knife in a nearby dumpster, which she subsequently showed officers. KSL stated they also discovered “countless open alcoholic containers throughout the residence,” and Happold was drinking alcohol while speaking with authorities.
Court filings show that a judge ordered Happold to be kept without bail. Hamer added that once the stabbing victim is released from the hospital, he may face aggravated assault charges in connection with the incident inside the apartment.
