Over the preceding weekend, two individuals, one of whom is a suspect in a murder case, managed to evade custody at an Arkansas detention facility. 

As of Wednesday, their whereabouts remain unknown, according to a statement from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 10:30 am local time on Monday, it was observed that Noah Roush, 22, and Jatonia Bryan, 23, were absent from the Jefferson County jail, also recognized as the WC “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center.

Bryant is characterized as an African American male with a height of 5 feet 11 inches and a weight of 145 pounds.

Roush is identified as a Caucasian male with a height of 6 feet 2 inches and a weight of 180 pounds. 

Additionally, officials have noted the presence of a scar on the right side of his head.

Bryant was held in custody based on probable cause for capital murder related to a shooting incident in 2023.

According to sheriff’s officials, Roush was under detention on probable cause for residential burglary and theft of property. 

Additionally, Roush is a subject of investigation in a homicide case.

Both individuals are deemed as dangerous and should only be approached by law enforcement personnel.

According to Major Bean, the operations commander of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, subsequent examination of video footage revealed their departure from the facility on Saturday around 10 pm. 

The Sheriff’s Office is actively conducting searches at known residences and places frequented by the individuals.

Both individuals are considered to be armed and pose a potential threat to public safety.

Sheriff Offers $2,500 Reward for Escapee Tips

On Wednesday, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office declared a reward of $2,500 for any information that results in the apprehension of either of the escapees

The search efforts are being augmented by the collaboration of the Pine Bluff Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics division, the Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Situated west of the Mississippi River, the jail in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, is approximately 45 minutes away from the state’s capital, Little Rock.
