During a shooting that took place on Friday night in New Haven, authorities reported that one man, 47 years old, was murdered and another man was injured. Marquel Lewis, a resident of New Haven, was named as the deceased individual by the police on Monday.
At around 11:40 p.m., the police responded to the location of Clover Place, which is located between Truman Street and Washington Avenue, in response to a ShotSpotter warning. After arriving on the scene, the cops discovered the individual, who has since been named as Lewis, a resident of New Haven, suffering from a gunshot wound.
According to the authorities, he was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital when he succumbed to his injuries.
Almost immediately after that, the police reported that a second victim, specifically a New Haven male who was twenty years old, presented himself at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot. According to the police, he reported to them that he had been victimized by a shooting on Clover Place.
