Tragic Early Morning Crash in Columbus: ONE DEAD, THREE CRITICALLY INJURED in Wrong-way Incident

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A woman died and three others were injured in a wrong-way incident in east Columbus early Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on East Livingston Avenue, just west of South Hamilton Road.

According to a press statement from the Columbus Division of Police, a Dodge Charger was going west in the eastbound lanes of East Livingston Avenue when it struck head-on with a woman driving a Nissan Altima. Police say the Dodge’s headlights were not switched on duringĀ the collision.

Police identified the lady driving the NissanĀ as Deandra Brigham, 32. Medics pronounced her dead at the site.

The driver of the Dodge and a passenger in the front seat were sent to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. A third individual in the vehicle was transported to Mount Carmel East in serious condition, according to police.

Police did not provide any additional information about the circumstances of the incident or whether or not criminal charges are likely.
