A migrant had been found dead near the Rio Grande last Friday. Officials discovered the migrant’s body near the border wall on Yarbrough Dr.
The Chihuahua Attorney General’s Office acknowledged to ABC-7 that they have yet to identify this person because he was not carrying any identification when he was discovered.
Juárez media outlets say they have informally confirmed that this migrant is from Honduras.
The investigation is led by the Fiscalía General del Estado de Chihuahua’s Crimes Against Life Unit.
Chihuahua authorities stated that the deceased was between the ages of 30 and 35 and had the name “Vicky” tattooed on his belly.
According to a recent report from El Diario de Juárez, this person’s body is still being investigated by the Forensic Medical Service.
Chihuahua Attorney General César Jáuregui stated that the migrant died on the Mexican side of the border.
The cause of death was determined to be head trauma.
