After conducting an investigation that lasted for several months, law enforcement officials in western Wisconsin were able to seize a record amount of methamphetamine, which was estimated to be worth more than 360 thousand dollars.
In August, the West Central Drug Task Force concluded an investigation into a drug trafficking operation that had begun in June. The investigation resulted in the recovery of nearly ten pounds of methamphetamine within the city of Eau Claire, as stated by the Eau Claire Police Department.
According to the officers, the quantity of meth is estimated to have a street value that is greater than 360 thousand dollars. Three individuals were taken into custody and indicted on federal charges as a direct result of the investigation. These include the following:
- St. Paul resident Xa Xiong, age 31
- Eau Claire resident May Xue Kong, age 41
- Located in Eau Claire, John Soung, age 47
Representatives of law enforcement agencies from six counties in Wisconsin, spanning from the Mississippi River to the middle of the state, are the members of the West Central Drug Task Force.
