Those of us who think that “you get what you pay for” might want to plan your next event at the Old Dominion State’s most expensive restaurant.

Some people at Lovefood made a list of the most expensive places in each state. The Bygone in Baltimore, Maryland, is at the top of the list for Maryland.

Bygone is a fancy rooftop restaurant at the Four Seasons that serves sophisticated continental food and drinks with a 1920s vibe. The menu at Bygone is full of subtle variations on classics with a focus on luxury.

For starters, there is a burrata and persimmon toast for $22 and a shellfish tower for $44.

There is a lot of meat and fish for the main course. The ramen for $38 comes with chili sauce, scallions, shiitake mushrooms, and pickled bamboo shoots. The dover sole flatfish for $94 and the whole Maine lobster for $194 both come with jumbo lump crab meat, smoked potatoes, leeks, bisque de homard, and black truffle-lemon beurre monté.

The restaurant has over a thousand positive reviews on Google, giving it a grade of 4.4 stars. People seem to love the one-of-a-kind eating experience that comes with a stunning view of the Harbor, great service, and a fun atmosphere.
