After a hit-and-run collision that left a bicyclist, who was 18 years old, hospitalized, a police officer from Gloucester Township has been charged with the crime.
According to Gloucester Township Police Chief Harkins, Officer Christopher Bucceroni, who is 28 years old and works for the Gloucester Township Police Department, has been placed on administrative leave without pay because he is going to be fired.
The nine-year veteran of the police force was allegedly driving his vehicle and off-duty when he struck a bike on Erial Road, close to Blackwood-Clementon Road, just before 2:30 in the morning on June 20th. According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, the incident occurred.

Still in critical condition is the victim, who is 18 years old.
Chief Harkins of the Gloucester Township Police Department stated that Officer Christopher Bucceroni, a resident of West Deptford, provided the Gloucester Township Police Department with his car, a 2020 Toyota Rav 4, at approximately 3:45 in the afternoon on the following day, June 21st FOX29 stated.
When Bucceroni fled the scene of an accident that resulted in serious physical injury, he was charged with fleeing the scene.
