Police in Broward County say that a middle school teacher who also works at a summer camp has sexual abuse materials for children.

Records from the Broward Sheriff’s Office show that on Tuesday, Quinton Isaiah Womack Wedlaw, 25, of rural central Broward, was arrested on 10 felony charges.

Broward County Public Schools stated that Womack Wedlaw worked at Lauderhill’s Parkway Middle School before the summer break. They said he started working as a science teacher in January.

An arrest report says that Womack Wedlaw was being looked into by officers after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children told them in April that he had put sexually explicit videos of children on a Google account.

According to the report, the police found more than 25 files containing sexual abuse of children in the Google account. They also found a picture that connected Womack Wedlaw to the account.

Ten of the videos were described by police as showing a child who looked to be 10 to 12 years old being sexually abused by a “adult Black male.”

Detectives don’t say in the report if they think Womack Wedlaw took any of the tapes or was seen in any of them.

Before Womack Wedlaw was arrested, surveillance video showed that cops were around his home in the Roosevelt Gardens area.

Nicole Norvilus, a neighbor, said, “There were four or five cars in my driveway.” “You have to be careful all the time because you never know what kind of people live in your neighborhood.”

After setting Womack Wedlaw’s bond at $200,000, the judge told him not to talk to or visit kids, stay away from parks, schools, and camps, and not use the Internet local10 stated.

He must also agree to electronic tracking if he is freed.

In a statement, BCPS said, “The District and school leadership are aware that this person was arrested.” He is not working at the school right now because it is summer break. He will be moved away from the school and children for the next school year while the case is being heard.
