SOUTH LOS ANGELES – A guy was fatally shot in the face, apparently during a street takeover in South Los Angeles, and authorities were investigating on Sunday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident took place at approximately 3:30 in the morning at the junction of Broadway and 89th Street.

The victim, who was only described as a guy between the ages of 40 and 50, passed away at the scene of the incident.
According to multiple witnesses, the fatal shot took place during a street takeover; however, the Los Angeles Police Department was unable to validate this information or determine whether or not the victim was engaged.
It was not possible to obtain any additional information regarding the occurrence. For the duration of the inquiry, the police anticipate that the area will be closed for some continuous hours.
