Four people have been injured as a result of a major fire that occurred at a flea market in the north of Houston on Friday morning. The fire caused a large smoke plume to be released into the air.

It was just off Interstate 45 when the Little York Fire Department responded to the incident that occurred at Airline and West Road. After flying over the active scene, SkyEye captured footage of personnel working to combat the thick smoke that was spreading across the commercial area, which seemed to be at the Tia Pancha Flea Market.

One firefighter was brought to the hospital for burns, and another was sent there for heat exhaustion, according to officials from the fire department. In addition, a worker at the office of the fire marshal was attended to for heat exhaustion.

In addition, a man who may have been in the market for shopping or selling was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Ed Gonzalez, the sheriff of Harris County, stated that the Airline near West would be closed for between four and five hours as a result of the cleanup.

It was reported by Gonzalez that traffic was being redirected down West Road.

It is not known what caused the fire to take off.
