Officers from the California Fire Department and the Riverside County Fire Department responded to a three-car collision that resulted in a small fire on Gilman Springs Road and Bridge Street in Lakeview, according to officials from the California Fire Department. The collision occurred just before 2:30 p.m.
Cal Fire authorities reported that all of the vehicles were on fire when the cops who responded to the scene arrived. The collision was the spark that started the fire, which quickly spread to the vegetation in the area and consumed more than 3.5 acres.
