Shuttle Bus ACCIDENT IN NORTH SACRAMENTO LEAVES PEDESTRIAN DEAD, Investigation Ongoing

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On Monday, a shuttle bus operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District struck and killed a pedestrian who was walking in the north Sacramento area.

In the vicinity of Banfield Drive and Club Center Drive, the Sacramento Police Department reported that the collision took place at approximately 8:30 in the morning. It is not known what caused the collision, however, a man was found dead at the scene of the accident.

According to a representative for the Sacramento Regional Transit District, the vehicle in question is a Smart Ride, which is a shuttle service that allows individuals to make ride requests. The service bus is shorter than usual.

A crash investigation is currently underway, and the driver remained at the scene of the accident.
