A police pursuit took out, and Special Weapons and Tactics officers assisted in the attempt to bring the fleeing automobile to a stop. A collision occurred near the intersection of E. 30th Street and E. Fall Creek Parkway N. Drive, according to the police authorities.
The Indiana State Police (IMPD) reports that a SWAT vehicle that was attempting to stop a fleeing automobile flipped onto its side during the collision. As a result of the theft, the automobile was found wrapped around a pole.
According to the police, four individuals were inside the stolen vehicle at the time of the collision. Police were able to apprehend two individuals who were attempting to flee the scene. Two females were brought into custody.
Following the pursuit and crash that occurred on Tuesday afternoon, four juveniles, three of whom were 15 years old and one of whom was 14 years old, were brought into jail, as stated in a police report that was obtained by FOX59/CBS4.
IMPD stated that the SWAT officer who was hurt in the collision was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
It has been claimed that law enforcement officers spotted and confiscated a handgun at the scene of the collision.
At this time, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has not offered any additional information regarding this event.
