“It is undoubtedly disturbing to see youngsters engaging in these types of crimes, but I appreciate the Criminal Impact Unit’s hard work in conducting this investigation and identifying these suspects. The Criminal Impact Unit’s main priority is apprehending armed suspects, and their work makes our community safer,” said Assistant Chief Kristy Volesky, who leads the Fort Collins Police Criminal Investigations Division, in a statement.
According to police, the first suspect was detained on multiple charges, including attempted murder in the first degree, first-degree assault, first-degree criminal trespass to a vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence.
The second suspect was detained on multiple accusations, including accessory to a crime, aggravated robbery with a pistol, criminal attempt to commit a Class 3 and Class 4 felony, possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and first-degree criminal trespass to a vehicle.
