A 23-year-old Ohio woman is charged with murder after reportedly killing her mother by hitting her with a car in the garage. Police in Miami Township, a Cincinnati suburb, arrived Saturday at a residence on Deerhaven Court for a domestic dispute involving a mother and daughter. When police arrived, they discovered a woman, later identified as 64-year-old Joyce Millette, pinned against the wall of a garage by a car. The automobile, its horn blaring, had broken down a section of the wall.

Two cops discovered her daughter, Anna Millette, in the driver’s seat. They attempted to remove her from the automobile so they could reach the victim. Body camera footage revealed that the officers noticed she was about to take off.

“Stop! Stop! Stop!” the officers yelled as they yanked on the door and smashed through the window. “Get out of the car!”

Anna Millette allegedly threw the car into reverse, knocking over one of the officers. Police claim she sped out of the driveway and into the street before fleeing, her tires screeching. Police pursued her until she wrecked on Interstate 275 near Loveland. Police say officers tased her before arresting her. First responders took her to the hospital. They also transported Joyce Millette to the hospital, where physicians pronounced her dead. The officers in the garage sustained minor injuries. Police have not revealed what prompted the daughter to allegedly commit the felonious act, but this is not the first time she has been suspected of hitting someone with a vehicle.

On May 28, 2022, Miami Township officers responded to a home on Deerhaven Court for a male who had been struck by an automobile. When authorities came, they discovered a 19-year-old bleeding heavily from the head, according to a criminal complaint. He said Anna Millette hit him with her car “on purpose” after he broke up with her.

A witness informed investigators that the man was walking in a yard when Anna Millete allegedly drove by him. She allegedly turned the car around and “accelerated at a high rate of speed driving into the yard” where the victim was standing, hitting him, according to the complaint. She then drove to a nearby residence and walked inside, yelling at the man, according to police.

Officers attempted to persuade Millette to come out, but she refused, so they had to seek a warrant to enter the home and arrest her. According to court documents, prosecutors charged her with two charges of felonious assault, aggravated vehicular assault, and fleeing the scene of an accident. In January 2023, she pled guilty to felonious assault and received a jail term. She was released in August and was scheduled to serve probation until October, according to court documents.
