ROBERTSDALE, Ala.- On Thursday evening, a couple from Robertsdale was taken into custody on allegations of aggravated child abuse. They are currently being held without bond.
Each of the Brewers, William and Kelsey, has been charged with one count of aggravated child abuse, which is a class B felony.
According to the Robertsdale Police Department, the abuse was reported to the Department of Human Resources by workers of the school, who then informed the police.
The child reportedly told investigators that the stepmother had thrown a lunch box at them at one point in time, as reported by the police. A busted lip and swelling of the mouth were the results of that occurrence, as reported by the police. Consequently, this prompted the police to do a house visit, during which they learned that there were many accusations of abuse.

According to the police, the youngster would be confined to their room, denied access to the lavatory, not fed or bathed in the appropriate manner, and their clothing would not be washed as per weartv.
In another instance, the youngster reported to the police that the bruises on their face were caused by the stepmother beating them with a spatula. The child arrived at school with these marks.
