Police in Rhode Island arrested a man accused of producing child pornography when the assault videos’ backgrounds matched photographs posted on a Zillow.com listing.
Larry W. Albino, 50, is charged with producing child pornography, according to a news statement from the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Rhode Island.
According to the criminal complaint, a Rhode Island State Police detective assigned to a federal task force got information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone had uploaded ten films depicting child pornography using a Kik account. The videos showed a male masturbating in front of a naked baby girl, police said. Police say she also touched his penis on the footage.
Investigators traced the person’s IP address to a residence on Waterman Avenue in North Providence. When detectives searched for the home address, they discovered a previous apartment rental listing on Zillow.
“A review of the listing photographs of the kitchen revealed a black and brown speckled countertop, brown hardwood floors, a white dishwasher, white cabinets with silver knobs, and a hunter green backsplash,” the investigators explained.
According to the lawsuit, the alleged abuse videos shared the same qualities. Cops said the man in the video was also wearing bright, multicolored sandals. Police discovered that Albino lived in the apartment. On September 17, officers went to Albino’s home with a search warrant. According to the complaint, he was wearing the same sandals that were shown in the video. The tapes were recorded in his flat, according to investigators.
Following Miranda, Albino allegedly acknowledged shooting films of himself and the girl a month or two earlier and sending them to Kik. He claimed he wanted to sell the recordings to someone he met on the app and referred to as a “perv,” according to the affidavit.
Albino also allegedly acknowledged recording other films of himself sexually abusing the girl but deleting them. He admitted that what he was doing was “stupid and wrong,” according to police.
Albino was arrested and taken to the Adult Correctional Institute. Albino is also facing state child pornography allegations and remains in jail without bond.
