A Muncie man on parole for previous sex crimes has been arrested and charged with four felonies during an investigation into child pornography depicting sex with animals.
Jeffery Wayne Campbell, 31, was freed from prison on parole in April after being convicted of multiple child molestation crimes. He received a reduced sentence in part because a judge believed his positive family links could lead to rehabilitation.
Campbell was arrested again on felony child pornography and bestiality allegations.

According to Indiana State Police, a search warrant was executed Wednesday morning in the 2000 block of W. Woodmont Drive following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which began on May 8 after receiving a tip regarding Campbell.
Various police agencies, including ISP, SWAT, ICAC, and IDOC, assisted in serving the warrant, leading to Campbell’s arrest. The 31-year-old Muncie resident was then booked into the Delaware County Jail under the following charges:
Possessing Child Pornography Featuring Bestiality – Level 4 Felony
Possessing child pornography under 12 years old is a Level 5 felony, whereas possession of child pornography is a Level 6 felony. Bestiality is also a Level 6 felony, and there is a warrant for parole violation.
“Campbell was released in April 2024 on a sex crime-related conviction,” ISP stated.
As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, online court records had not been updated to reflect a first hearing date in Campbell’s case.
Police did not immediately share any more information.
