According to Decatur City Schools (DCS) officials, one student was hurt and three were detained following a brawl at Austin High School on Tuesday.
According to a school spokeswoman, the incident began on Tuesday when two students got into a brawl in Austin High School’s cafeteria.
According to WHNT, school administrators moved immediately to separate the pupils, but one of them continued the argument and slashed the other with a small eyeglass screwdriver, resulting in a slight gash on their face.
According to the spokeswoman, a third student, the sister of one of the other pupils involved, also intervened in the altercation.
DCS stated that all three students had been apprehended and removed from campus.
According to the school administration, the fight is considered to be a result of an off-campus incident.
