Mrs. Patsy Obera “Pat” Elsberry, age 83 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Elsberry was born in Summerville, Georgia on June 7, 1938, daughter of the late Charles Malcolm Jackson and Fanny Lorena Butler Jackson Sprayberry.  She was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church where she was active in many church activities including being a greeter.  She was an excellent cook, and had spent the greater part of her life cooking for other people, whether it was at the School in Menlo, Hays State Prison, or her own little restaurant.  Mrs. Elsberry was also involved with Lookout Community Services and along with her sister, owned an antique store, The Jazzy Junction.  She was a very artistic person and enjoyed painting, decorating and making crafts.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elsberry was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hilton “Bob” Elsberry; son, Robert Hilton “Robbie” Elsberry, Jr. stepfather, Bill Sprayberry; sister, Sylvia Wilson and a brother, James Jackson.

Mrs. Elsberry is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Delight and Rickey Duke; sister, Glenda Holbrooks; brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Marilyn Jackson; Sisters-in-law, Sarah Duke, Faye Ramsey, Pat Elsberry and Billie Faye Elsberry; brothers-in-law, Bill Elsberry and Jerol Wilson; Grandchildren, Heather Pruitt, Rene֜e Pruitt and Dustin Elsberry; great grandson, Griffin Elsberry; and a number of nieces and nephews 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Elsberry will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 3:00 the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mrs. Elsberry will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
