Mr. George Arnold “Curly” Willingham, age 84, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, January 25, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Willingham was born February 23, 1935, in Cherokee County, AL, son of the late Claud and Pearl Shaver Willingham. He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed as a truck driver. Mr. Willingham was also a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 129. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willingham was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Smith Willingham.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Gregg and Vicki Willingham, Jerry and Debra Willingham; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Larry Edgeworth; 8 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Willingham will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, January 27, 2020, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in AMI Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Holder, Rhonda Edgeworth, Skyler Edgeworth, Andrew Massey, Jamie Boyed, and Riley Brown.
Mr. Willingham will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour on Monday.
