SILVER CITY, N.M.- On Thursday, a teacher accused of having a sexual encounter with a pupil at Silver City High School was taken into custody.
The records that were filed in the courtroom show that Felix Thompson confirmed to the police that he had an improper relationship with a pupil. However, he stated that the relationship was not sexual and that he then ended it.

The victim provided a different account, stating that they did not engage in sexual activity but did engage in sexual activities. The police stated that the victim’s story was verified by text conversations that were exchanged between the two.

Six counts of criminal sexual penetration, twelve instances of criminal sexual contact, and tampering with evidence are among the 19 felony accusations that have been brought against Thompson.
After being released from custody, he was subject to the supervision of pretrial services.
