The Covenant School, where a tragic event occurred in 2023, recently faced a bomb threat, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Nashville Police Department.

Yesterday, a staff member at Covenant School received a bomb threat via email. We successfully cleared the site with the help of a bomb-sniffing dog from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department spokesperson stated that the Specialized Investigations Division detectives are collaborating with the FBI to look into the source of the threat.

ABC News was directed to law enforcement by the school when they asked for a comment about the bomb threat.

During March 2023, Covenant School in Nashville, a private pre-k to sixth grade Christian school, experienced a tragic event where three students and three employees, including the head of school, lost their lives in a mass shooting.

Law enforcement identified the shooter as 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who reportedly attended the school.

In March 2023, a police spokesperson informed ABC News that Hale was designated female at birth and referenced a social media account associated with Hale that used he/him pronouns.

According to a friend of the Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale, she reached out to local authorities on Monday morning after Hale messaged her online about “planning to die today.”

However, the shooting began just minutes before, and the authorities didn’t approach the friend until after the attack occurred.

According to Paige Patton, a Nashville radio presenter going by Averianna, she played basketball with Hale in the eighth grade and kept in touch with him on occasion, ABC News reported.

She mentioned being contacted on Monday at 9:57 a.m. by Hale, who informed her, “I’m planning to die today.” This is serious.

My name will likely be featured in the news after my passing. Thirteen minutes later, the shooting started.

Hale’s message reportedly included the words, “This is my last goodbye,” as stated by Patton. “I cherish you, until we meet again in a different existence.”

Patton responded to Hale, expressing, “Audrey, you have so much more life to live.”

“I apologize; I know, but I don’t want to live. I’m not looking to cause any distress or seek attention, I simply feel the need to pass away.

Hale responded by telling Patton that they are the most beautiful person they have ever seen and known all their life.
